Walking Breaks in Llandudno & Conwy

In a nutshell. Guided walks – or go it alone.

Our walking guides are a happy bunch in these parts.

Just look at the landscapes and seascapes they have to play with.

Along the coast there are long, sandy beaches, promenades and arresting natural features like the Great Orme headland, rearing 207m/679ft out of Conwy Bay like a sea monster.

Inland, the grassy Vale of Conwy leads to the open moors and big skies of Mynydd Hiraethog on one side and the wooded glades of the Gwydyr Forest on the other.

Venture a little further inland and you’re in rugged, rocky Snowdonia and the highest mountains in Wales and England.

And it’s not just scenery.

We have town trails and heritage walks too, miners’ trails and pilgrims’ ways that cast light on our rich history and culture.

If you’re going it alone without a guide, many of our walks are waymarked throughout.

And don’t miss sections of the new Wales Coast Path – the only one of its kind in the world – which has had such a big impact since opening in 2012.

Many of our accommodation establishments have the ‘Walkers Welcome’ symbol and provide extra facilities such as drying rooms for wet clothing they are also often able to advise on their favourite local routes.
