About

Look out for the green HistoryPoints logo on walls, windows etc. Scan the QR codes with your smartphone or tablet to receive a concise history of the building, memorial or landscape in front of you from the HistoryPoints.org website. It’s a free service (other than data charges by your mobile provider).

HistoryPoints has placed QR codes at almost 400 locations across Conwy County. Use them to discover more about buildings and bridges, or to reveal stories of heroism at war memorials.

There are also local walking circuits on popular themes, from one QR site to the next. Topics include Ghosts & Legends of Conwy, Llandudno’s Victorian Highlights and the beautiful Arts & Crafts houses of Llanfairfechan.

And you needn’t be mystified any longer about Welsh names like Pen Llithrig y Wrach or Pont y Pair. HistoryPoints explains what they mean, and even how to pronounce them!
