Colwyn Bay
Colwyn Bay’s bustling town centre has familiar high street names, independent shops, great places to eat out, plus a popular weekly farmers’ market. Ten minutes from the centre is the peace and quiet of Nant y Glyn valley. And Eirias Park has a leisure centre, bowling green and indoor tennis courts. Head to the seaside to enjoy the clean sandy beach and designated jet-skiing area, and you can try off-shore angling from the pier when the tide’s in. Or head inland to see the Welsh Mountain Zoo.
Rhos-on-Sea
This elegant seaside resort has a picturesque harbour with sensational views over the Irish Sea. The water is remarkably clean and safe, so it’s perfect for watersports. Sailing, swimming and sea-fishing are all here. Ride the cycle track along the coast. Play golf with a sea view. Or join the town’s Heritage Trail to see historic locations including Bryn Euryn hill fort. Definitely worth the trek up, if only for the stunning views.
