Did you know?

Salmon and sea trout can now be found above the Conwy Falls, near Betws-y-Coed, thanks to a fish-pass tunnel, built in 1994. The falls were previously impassable.

Butterfly

The Great Orme has such a unique and unusual ecology that two varieties of butterfly have evolved there into new sub-species. They are the silver studded blue and the grayling.

Boats

Seals, porpoises and dolphins live off our coast. You may spot them from the shore, but a boat trip will increase your chances of sighting them.
