Colwyn Jet SKi ClubFormed in 1996 to promote safe personal watercraft riding CJSC is an RYA recognised PWC teaching establishment. Courses run on Saturdays throughout the season. Day launches available to non-members or an annual permit is available. Launch site: Eirias Slipway, Colwyn Bay. See website for details.

Did you know?

 

Salmon and sea trout can now be found above the Conwy Falls, near Betws-y-Coed, thanks to a fish-pass tunnel, built in 1994. The falls were previously impassable.

Butterfly

The Great Orme has such a unique and unusual ecology that two varieties of butterfly have evolved there into new sub-species. They are the silver studded blue and the grayling.

Boats

Seals, porpoises and dolphins live off our coast. You may spot them from the shore, but a boat trip will increase your chances of sighting them.
